Ms. Hyatt oversees the growth and operation of Reality Check, equipping others to present in Uganda , Virginia, and other parts of California. She speaks locally and nationally to teens, young adults and parents. Before joining Reality Check in 2010, Hyatt was an executive at a film production company in Los Angeles. She received her B.A. with honors from Claremont McKenna College.
Ciara Beard

Ciara, a transplant from Washington State, has her B.A. in psychology from Whitworth University, with a minor in sociology. She brings years of experience working with youth in foster homes and the juvenile justice system. Ciara believes that Reality Check is the perfect forum to educate youth to be strong, courageous, and aware of how the decisions they make today can and will affect their future's.
Maria Vargo

Maria Vargo

A transplant from St. Louis, Missouri, Maria has made California her home since 2002. She loves sharing her story with Reality Check students, with the hope that others may be spared from the physical and emotional traumas she has endured. Maria is a singer/ songwriter, actress and director who has just finished producing her first solo album. She is also currently the artistic director for the GK Chesterton Theatre Co., a production company focused on producing inspiring works.
Carrie Cole

Carrie Cole

A native of Southern California, Carrie Cole has extensive experience in the microscopic study of cells to look for diseases, such as cancers associated with HPV. Upon finding Reality Check, she realized that her background of education in sexual health, knack for explaining sensitive/confusing topics in down-to-earth terms, and personal story were a great fit.
Maria Warman Boulin

Maria is a Los Angeles native who has lived, worked and volunteered abroad ever since she was a child. After graduating from USC with her degree in Communication and French, Maria lived in France and traveled extensively. Maria has worked at orphanages, drug rehab centers, homeless shelters, and with Habitat for Humanity around the world including Haiti, Venezuela, Northern Ireland, Thailand and Ethiopia. Maria is a writer, hosts www.GoLiveGive.com and loves working with LA youth!
Joy Williams

Born and raised in Orange County, CA, Joy acquired her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the University of California Santa Barbara and recently received her Master of Business Administration. Upon graduation, Joy received representation from one of the top dance agencies and continued dancing professionally for numerous TV, stage, and film projects. Her teaching experience includes substitute teaching in the Los Angeles and El Segundo Unified School Districts, as well as teaching various forms of dance at studios, dance camps, and schools, to students whose ages range from 5 years old to adults.
Jenny Wilson

Jenny served as Reality Check Program Coordinator in January 2007-08, after having spent years working with teens in Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Cal State Northridge University and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in the spring of 2006. During her sophomore year at CSUN, Jenny studied overseas at the University of Brighton, England for six months.

Having experienced the benefits of saving sex until marriage, Corrita longed to encourage teens in their quest to do the same. Corrita became a part of the Reality Check speaking team in its infancy and has had the privilege of witnessing its phenomenal growth. Her nursing school background, coupled with public speaking experience has been a valuable asset when presenting to students. Corrita is passionate about the necessity of Reality Check’s message in today’s culture and feels honored to be a part of a program that promotes awareness and positive change.
Johnathan Wilson

Johnathan received his associate degree in Emergency of Para medicine at Mount San Antonio College and currently works as a firefighter for LA City. Johnathan enjoys writing, playing music, and performing at different venues in LA and Orange County. He is proud to be a part of Reality Check because it represents sexual integrity in a humble way. Johnathan is married to Jenny Wilson, who he enjoys speaking along side as they share their story at local high schools.
Emily Keith

Emily Keith

Emily joined the Westside Pregnancy Clinic (WPC) as a volunteer in 2001 and was hired in 2003 to develop a pregnancy prevention program, which later became know as "Reality Check". Emily began working in the field as a model for the Family Research Council’s national abstinence campaign. From 2006 until 2010, she served as Center Director and oversaw the WPC’s general operations. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Education from Ohio Wesleyan University. Prior to joining the WPC, she worked as an actress, tutored children through the Excel Tutoring Program in Los Angeles, and worked as a substitute teacher for Options for Youth Charter High School. Emily is certified in numerous sex-education curricula.
Joshua Moore

Joshua Moore

Joshua graduated from the Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk VA, and later attended Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been a speaker with Reality Check since 2004. Joshua is an actor, writer, and stand up comic in Los Angeles. He has been seen on such television shows as "Veronica Mars" and "Dawson's Creek". He has also starred in national television commercials for Radio Shack, and Taco Bell as well. Joshua is committed to helping teens and young adults understand the physical and emotional impact of sex.
